• Account Information: Your username and a cryptographic hash of your password. We do not store your plain-text password.
• Financial Data: Transaction dates, descriptions, and amounts that you upload via CSV files or other manual methods.
• Inferred Data: Classifications and certainty scores generated by our AI service to help organize your transactions.
• Usage Data: Metadata about your use of the application, such as API usage logs and system activity.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the purpose of providing and improving Honeybee's features, including:

• Visualizing your cash flow via Sankey diagrams.
• Automatically classifying transactions using AI.
• Monitoring system performance and API costs.

We do not sell your personal or financial data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

Honeybee uses the following third-party services to provide core functionality:

• Google Gemini API: Used for AI-powered transaction classification. We send transaction descriptions and amounts to Google to perform this service. This data is handled according to Google's privacy standards for API developers.

5. Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. This includes:

• Secure password hashing.
• Encrypted data storage.
• Rate limiting and CSRF protection on our web interface.

6. Your Rights and Choices

In accordance with US data privacy laws (such as CCPA/CPRA), you have the following rights:

• Right to Access: You can view all your stored transactions and taxonomy configurations within the app.
• Right to Deletion: You can request the permanent deletion of all your data at any time via the "Delete All My Data" feature in the Management dashboard.
• Right to Data Portability: You can export your transaction data (feature coming soon).
